a milestone year

So many exciting things have happened at our community this past Fiscal Year. We've completed several upgrades around our community including a face lift on the George Gahr wing in addition to new flooring and furniture around the community.
We are so blessed by our Auxiliary! They recently provided perennials and planted nearly 100 Hostas and Day Lillies on the south side of the memory care unit, making the outdoor view beautiful during the summer months. The Auxiliary also has provided scholarships to two nurses - DJ Curry and Linda VanCleve. Additionally, they provided funds for a sound system for ambient music in the dining room, a piano in GracePoint and more! Thank you for all you do!
This year we had two weddings for Independent Living residents. Isn't it a blessing to know that love continues to grow when some people might think that part of their life is over? But at the Christian Village, thriving means loving! We are so happy for our newly weds s the begin their lives together.

The George Gahr Memory Care Unit now has a small sensory room. The room is designed to provide an environment for people who are experiencing overwhelming frustrations to become more calm.
Part of our Volunteer corps were our interns Brad Curtis and Caitlyn Ratcliff. They contributed to arond 300 hours volunteering by conducting services, visiting with our residents, assisting with memorial services and more. We were very blessed to have them!
